Choosing The Right Window Style
We offer the following window styles. Whether you want a Wincore, Pella, or Marvin window, we can work with you to find the right style, color, material, and more. If you’re looking for a fully custom window style, we can also help you create a unique design to fit your home’s dimensions and specifications. The following are the different window styles we can install in your home.
Single-hung windows
Single-hung windows have a bottom sash that moves vertically for ventilation. The stainless-steel coil spring balance system that the lower sash works with will not ever need adjustment. Where the lower and top sashes meet interlocks around weatherstripping to prevent drafts. These windows are a common and easy option and come with a few different features regarding their grid pattern and color.
Double-hung windows
Double-hung windows are one of the more popular options for homeowners, featuring two sashes that operate vertically, going up and down. The stainless-steel balance system is dependable and easy to clean.
Double slider windows
Double slider windows have two operable sashes that move side to side instead of up and down. The integrated roller system allows the sashes to move easily. To prevent drafts, the stile where the sash meets in the middle of the window interlocks around weatherstripping. These windows offer a variety of color options and woodgrain and glass options.
Casement window
Casement window options have a hinge on the left or right where the sash attaches, and a crank handle is used to open and close the window. Casement windows are the best window option for ventilation, and the screens are on the inside, while the window itself opens to the outside of your home. Casement window options also include awning windows that open from the bottom inside to the left or right. The features offered are similar to other window options, aside from the different colors offered for the folding handles.
Picture windows
Picture windows come in either a rectangle or square shape, and these windows don’t have any sashes that move and are stationary. However, they are typically used alongside other window styles to create a different configuration.
Geometric window
A geometric window style is also a stationary option. There is no operating sash, and they are typically used as a part of a window grouping or as accents. Geometric windows can come in various shapes, including oval, hexagon, triable, eyebrow, and gothic. Our team can fully customize them.
Bay/bow windows
Bay/bow windows offer dependability and beauty. These types of windows are created with a combination of picture, double-hung, and casement windows. Each bay and bow window is built with custom specifications and dimensions. SPG is equipped to design and replace/install high-quality custom-sized windows.
Wincore
Wincore windows are considered a more economical window solution, and these are great for replacement windows and faster lead times. However, you can enjoy some performance ratings with this vinyl window line; the options are limited.
Pella
Pella offers high-level designs with a mid to high-range window for quality, design, and features. With options including wood, vinyl, aluminum clad, and fiberglass, they offer many door options to complement their windows. Pella has a local showroom that our team can accompany customers to. This allows you to touch, feel, and see all the window options that Pella offers so we can find the one that works best for you and your vision.
Marvin
Marvin offers high-level designs and customizations. Their products are of the highest quality, and they offer amazing warranties and backing. Marvin has some of the highest performance when it comes to energy efficiency. Their unique design and window features make them a good option for home window installation of fully customized windows. They’ve designed several unique products that other lines don’t offer, including the Awaken Skylight, one of the most innovative skylights on the market.
