Two Color Diamond Metal Roof After Fire Restoration

Fire Restoration With a Diamond Pattern Metal Roof
After a house fire destroyed the back half of the home and ruined the roof, we rebuilt it with a diamond pattern metal roof. We sourced a specific diamond-shape metal tile from Canada and executed a two-color layout that looks even better than before.

Project at a Glance
Why They Called
- Fire damaged the back half of the home
- Roof was totaled and needed full replacement
Systems We Installed
- **Diamond pattern [metal tiles](/blog/metal-roofing-benefits/)** from [Diamond Roof](https://www.diamondroof.on.ca/) in Canada
- Heavy gauge panels installed individually
- Two color layout per homeowner request
Scope and Notes
- Procurement during a challenging cross border supply window
- Team training and mock roof build prior to install
- Layout planning to lock in the two color pattern
The Challenge
Diamond pattern tiles have unique fastening and layout rules. We needed to meet manufacturer specs, hit the two color design, and keep the restoration moving despite international lead times.
Our Solution
We ordered extra material and built a makeshift roof in our office to train the crew on panel sequencing, clips, and stagger. That dry run set the standard for the field. Once materials cleared customs we staged, snapped control lines, and installed the system panel by panel to preserve pattern symmetry.
Why this system
- Heavy gauge metal for long service life
- Individually installed tiles for precise pattern control
- Distinctive diamond profile that elevates curb appeal
Diamond tiles laid to a planned two color pattern for a refined finish.

Training and Quality Control
Our team practiced on a mock roof to confirm clip spacing, starter orientation, and ridge details before stepping on the home. That investment ensured a smooth install and a consistent pattern across planes.
Details That Make It Last
Pattern Layout
Control lines and dry fits so valleys, hips, and ridges land with clean geometry.
Per Spec Installation
Manufacturer fastening schedule and flashings for a watertight system.
Material Readiness
Extra tiles on hand to keep progress steady and ensure color continuity.
Benefits for the Homeowner
Performance
- Lifetime heavy gauge metal system
- Panelized install sheds water and resists uplift
Value
- Standout appearance with a two color diamond pattern
- Roof looks better than the original according to the owners
Customer Feedback
The homeowners were thankful and genuinely surprised. They liked their last roof and were excited that the new roof looks even better.
Results
- Fire damaged roof fully restored with a premium metal system
- Two color diamond pattern executed to plan
- Supply challenges solved with early orders and training
- A unique older home with a roof that fits the architecture
